In-feed Display: Spotify Ads Manager

For advertisers running ads via Spotify Ads Manager, there are two places display ads can appear. In the Spotify Player, ads are served two seconds after the listener enters the NPV, when they are streaming music content and the app is in view. The creative will appear in a 1x1 container where the album art was previously. The ad will persist until the listener dismisses the ad, leaves the NPV, skips to another song, or exits the app.

The second placement is the Browse (or Search) screen. Similar to display on NPV, this is a totally non-interruptive, opt-in experience for the listener.

In-feed Display: Spotify Ad Exchange

For advertisers running ads via Spotify Ad Exchange, display ads appear in the same placements as they would when run via Spotify Ads Manager. However, display ads that appear on the Browse (or Search) screen do not support advertiser names, taglines and logos, or javascript.
